One thing I have found is that in Japanese schools English grammar is taught
very well. Most Japanese have a better understanding English grammar than
I do! But very limited vocabulary!
So part of this blog is to introduce new vocabulary. Words that are not
taught in text books, words that I come across in my reading or from watching TV.
So the first word is: adorable 愛らしい
Hannah came out with this the other day when she was playing with the cats,
"He is so adorable." she said as the white cat sat purring.
Showcasing our small English school and my struggles with the Japanese language.

Hello out there
I have been in Japan for about 28 years now. For all of those years I have been
teaching English. Through teaching I have learnt a lot, about myself, about Japan
and about English. I have also been trying to learn Japanese, but had been a bit
hit and miss. I can understand more that I can speak. But I can't read or write.
So I have decided to start this blog to showcase our English school and my
efforts in learning Japanese. I think it will be more of the former!
Check back in a few days to see how things are going!
